Business is buoyant for Blackburn-based commercial law firm Taylors, and its managing partner is encouraging other firms to do business ‘the Blackburn way’ to capitalise on the economy’s emergence from recession.

In 1991, founding partners Elaine Hurn and Tony Catterall, who were later joined by Andrew Livesey, who are all Blackburn born and raised, left the big city law firms of Manchester to set up on their own.
The firm maintains specialisms in manufacturing, textiles & home furnishings and creative, with a national standing in intellectual property – Taylors is the only northern law firm to have been appointed as a Legal Affiliate to work the national organisation, Anti Copying in Design (ACID) Specialist services are a strategic focus for Taylors as the team continue to provide a national level of service at a local level.
