Launching as a magazine in 2005, the brand has grown to encompass events, awards and initiatives which are communicated online, in print and in person.
Our magazine is published six times a year, covering the news, advice and opinion. Featuring almost entirely exclusive content, it is written specifically by, for and about Lancashire’s business leaders.
The print publication is backed by a website updated daily with fresh news and opinion, a weekly newsletter containing all the must-read items from the previous week, and social media which is one of our many tools for keeping connected to organisations in the county.
Subscribers to our interactive online membership service, the Lancashire Business View Hub, can also harness these channels to communicate directly with our audience. By uploading their own news stories, advice articles and diary dates to our website, they are published to an audience of thousands, with a hand-picked selection featuring on our weekly email digest and more included in our print magazine.
Our comprehensive calendar of events ranges from intimate roundtable discussions, where hand-picked panels of authoritative voices discuss the key issues of the day, through general admission networking events and seminars, right up to our annual Red Rose Awards events ceremony, which attracts hundreds of nominations every year and comes to a thrilling conclusion in front of an audience of more than 1,100 within Blackpool’s iconic Winter Gardens.
We have loaned our voice, expertise and broadcasting capabilities to a number of programmes and projects that have benefited the county in many ways, and we have launched a number of our own. These include our Sub36 networking and awards, which aim to enhance the careers of the county’s younger entrepreneurially-minded individuals, through to Bring Back a Billion, the campaign we launched to encourage Lancashire businesses to keep their spending local.
It’s been an incredible journey over the last decade-and-a-half, with many unexpected twists and new opportunities along the way. But whatever else has changed, our core goal has not: Lancashire Business View exists to get businesses in the county talking to each other.
As our founder Richard Slater can often be heard saying: “If you can buy it in Lancashire, buy it in Lancashire.”

The Forbes brand has been synonymous with Lancashire Business View for a number of years now, most recently through sponsoring their Property Reports and Dealmakers features, and of course our headline sponsorship of their annual Red Rose Awards for the past six years. We work very closely with the commercial and editorial teams to find the right opportunities that align with our services, and to create top content. There is a fantastic working relationship and strong partnership between our team and theirs, which adds extra value and helps us to effectively reach out to businesses in Lancashire.
Working with LBV both on an events and advertising basis has successfully introduced our brands and products to potential customers both at a commercial and individual level. As a hospitality business we want to reach out to businesses to use our corporate facilities but each reader is also a potential customer for drinking, dining and leisure stays with their friends and family.
