New look for Lancashire’s premier business publication

Lancashire Business View – the county’s premier quality business publication – has unveiled a modern new look.

The redesign reflects its authoritative journalism and offers a contemporary, clean and easy to navigate publication.

It is the culmination of almost 12 months of work and a significant investment by the independent publisher, which represents and reports on the business community in Lancashire in print, online and at a growing programme of events.

The publication, founded in 2005, has had the same look since 2008. The newly designed Lancashire Business View was unveiled for its November/December issue.

Publisher Richard Slater said: “Refreshing and developing the magazine is part of our commitment to our readers, advertisers and partners in the Lancashire business community to deliver even more for them.”

As part of its commitment to encourage businesses in the county to work with each other it called on the support and expertise of two Lancashire-based companies for support in the redesign project.

Ribchester-headquartered Workhouse Marketing and Burnley-based Peter Scott Printers both played major roles in the development of the magazine’s new look and feel.

Workhouse Marketing is an award-winning specialist B2B design and digital marketing agency with 25 years experience.

Martin Meadows, managing director from Workhouse said: “We were delighted to be chosen to work on the redesign of the magazine.

“We are wholeheartedly behind the ethos of the magazine in general - there is so much good business being done by great people in Lancashire that we need to ensure the way we communicate this success is equally the best it can be. “The magazine already has a great legacy, we felt it needed to freshen up but not be unfamiliar, to respect what has gone before and reflect the business community it represents. “Hopefully readers of the new look magazine will find it is easy to read, feel inspired and informed by the content and be proud to have it as the number one business publication of Lancashire.”

Peter Scott Printers (PSP) is one of the region’s most prominent litho and digital printing services, with a combined 325 years of industry experience within its team.

PSP prints and distributes Lancashire Business View and all its related promotional material.

Joanne Hindley, commercial director at PSP, said: “Having printed the magazine for over a decade we have worked together to create a true partnership. “The real benefit to our longstanding relationship is a clear understanding of what the team at LBV wanted to achieve and knowing that they trusted us to advise on options that would work best to achieve this.” Joanne added: “It’s been a great project to be a part of and we’re incredibly proud of the new look magazine.”

The 84-page November/December issue of Lancashire Business View is out now. Its cover story is an exclusive interview with cricket and TV star Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff on his new role as an ambassador for the county.

It also highlights the publication’s Sub36 Awards, a celebration of the best of the best of the new generation of business leaders. To get your copy of the new look magazine click here.
