Blackpool based My Laptop Shop is currently supporting an educational project in Nigeria and is seeking approximately 400 surplus end of life laptop devices to help expand access to technology for students.
It is looking for older education-focused devices, including:
• Dell 5470
• Dell 5480
• Dell 7470
• Dell 7480
However, similar or equivalent Windows-based laptops may also be suitable.
Many organisations are currently upgrading hardware as part of Windows 11 rollouts and wider IT refresh programmes.
Rather than seeing older equipment recycled or disposed of prematurely, the business is looking to give suitable devices a second life where they can continue to support learning and digital inclusion.
Kim Lovatt, director, said: "My Laptop Shop would welcome discussions with schools, academy trusts, colleges, businesses and public sector organisations that may have surplus devices available.
"Large quantities are particularly of interest, with requirements extending beyond 400 units and the capacity to accommodate batches of more than 1,000 devices.
"Where required, My Laptop Shop can also provide secure collections, certified data destruction, inventory reporting and fully compliant WEEE recycling services.
"If you may be able to assist, please get in touch with details of the models and quantities available."
