Fox Group sees double at Truckfest

Haulage and construction firm the Fox Group scooped two awards during its first appearance at Truckfest North West, one the UK's leading events for the transport industry.

The firm, based in Blackpool and Leyland, attended the event at Cheshire Showground in Knutsford on Saturday and Sunday, 12 and 13 September where the team showcased the business's fleet, people, history and its longstanding connection with the transport industry.

Part of the stand was dedicated to Harold ‘Barney’ Fox, CEO Paul Fox’s grandfather, who established Fox’s core company values that are still a cornerstone of Fox Group today. The HF symbol used on the vehicle branding today is a tribute to Barney and his influence on the business.

And Fox went on to win Best Showcase Stand as well as Best Kept Super Truck for its Peterbilt 379.

Caroline Hurt, managing director of Fox Leyland, said: “Have we come down yet? Absolutely not! 

“This was our first Truckfest and what an achievement. What started as a tiny idea grew into something the whole team could get behind, and seeing our stand come to life over the weekend made us incredibly proud.

“A huge thank you to everyone who visited us, shared their photos and posts on social media, and helped make the weekend what it was. We would also like to thank the Truckfest team for putting on such a fantastic event.”

Truckfest brings together hauliers, fleet operators, manufacturers, suppliers, drivers and truck enthusiasts, with everything from working fleets and customised trucks to classic, vintage and American vehicles on display.

Fox Group’s first appearance gave the business the chance to showcase its vehicles as well as the people responsible for operating, maintaining and managing them every day.

Following the success of the weekend and two awards from its debut appearance, Fox Group confirmed it is already looking to return to Truckfest in 2027.
