The Blackpool Net Zero Business Academy is offering eligible Blackpool based businesses up to £5,000 in fully funded grant support* to help deliver real, measurable sustainability improvements in 2026.
As sustainability becomes an increasingly important consideration for businesses, many are seeking practical ways to better understand energy use and reduce costs. With funding due to end soon, Blackpool businesses are being encouraged to enquire now to secure fully funded support.
Businesses across Blackpool are already taking advantage of the grant funding to invest in practical improvements that reduce both carbon emissions and operating costs. Funded projects include solar panel installation, boiler upgrades and more efficient heating systems, as well as the transition to electric fleet vehicles.
Led by Sustainability specialist John Keen, the Blackpool Net Zero Business Academy provides fully funded, practical support to help local businesses reduce energy costs and carbon emissions.
Through tailored support businesses receive a comprehensive energy audit to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement. This is followed by a personalised decarbonisation action plan setting out clear and achievable steps to improve energy efficiency.
Eligible businesses can also apply for up to £5,000 in grant funding* to support energy-efficient improvements, and can access a free Net Zero Toolkit, providing businesses with straightforward guidance on energy use, costs and renewable options to support long-term sustainability.
The Academy is already delivering measurable results for local businesses. Through tailored support and funded improvements, participating organisations have seen average energy bill savings of 47%, significantly reducing both operating costs and carbon emissions.
Top Gun Tools and Fixings is one local business that has already benefited from the Academy’s grant scheme. By accessing funding support, they have been able to reduce upfront project costs on solar installation by almost 20 per cent.
Blackpool-based businesses aiming for net zero in 2026, or looking to better understand and reduce their carbon emissions, are encouraged to contact the Blackpool Net Zero Business Academy to access fully funded sustainability support and up to £5,000 in grant funding*.
