Prestige Beds joins forces with East Lancashire Hospice

Prestige Beds, renowned for its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction spanning over six decades, has embarked on a significant collaboration with East Lancashire Hospice in a move that underscores its commitment to making a tangible difference.

Through this partnership, a portion of the proceeds from sales of Prestige Beds' Alma Mattress range will directly benefit East Lancashire Hospice. For every purchase of an Alma Mattress, £10 will be donated to the hospice, contributing to its crucial work in providing care and support to those facing life-limiting illnesses across Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley.

Founded by James Dunne in 1959, Prestige Beds has become a staple part of Lancashire's bed industry, boasting a legacy of excellence and a dedication to providing the finest sleep experience. Striving for excellence and commitment to customer service, Prestige Beds have been awarded various awards over the years including the prestigious National Bed Retailer awards on two occasions in 2017 and 2021 from the National Bed Federation.

Now in its 65th year, the third-generation family business boasts four well-established locations across Lancashire and the North West, with stores in Preston, Blackburn and Burnley; serving as a trusted source for premium beds and as a pillar of the community.

The Alma Mattress range, which pays homage to Prestige Beds' heritage with its headquarters and showroom based in the historic 19th-century former textile mill - Alma Mill, based in Blackburn; offers a selection of expertly crafted mattresses designed for superior comfort and restful sleep. This collaboration not only showcases Prestige Beds' dedication to quality but also underscores their commitment to giving back to the community that has supported them for generations.

Marisa Banan, corporate fundraiser at East Lancashire Hospice, expresses gratitude for the partnership, emphasising the profound impact it will have on the hospice's ability to continue to offer its valuable services. She encourages the local community to support this initiative by choosing Prestige Beds and selecting a mattress from their Alma range.

“We’re thrilled to be involved in such an amazing partnership with a company that pays tribute to its heritage and local community. We’re so grateful to be chosen as the beneficiary of this amazing campaign and encourage our local community to visit Prestige Beds and purchase a mattress from their Alma range.” shared Marisa.

James Dunne, director of operations at Prestige Beds, shares the significance of community partnerships driving a positive change. “We’re thrilled to be working with such an amazing local charity. After visiting East Lancashire Hospice, I was blown away by the hospice's facilities and services. My perception of the hospice has completely changed since working with the East Lancashire Hospice team and I am proud to be involved in such an important initiative.”

Together, Prestige Beds and East Lancashire Hospice exemplify the power of collaboration in creating a meaningful impact within the local community.
