Blackburn chartered accountancy, business advisory, and financial planning firm PM+M has reported that turnover has increased by nine per cent to £12.6m from £11.5m in 2025.

The £1.07m growth is driven by significant growth across several of its core service lines, including audit, cloud and financial planning.

Among the other highlights saw headcount rise by 6.5 per cent in the last financial year to 164 employees and following continued investment in people and skills, the business currently has a 189-strong team.

The firm continued to strengthen its national profile, climbing six places in the 2025 Accountancy Age 50+50 rankings.

It also welcomed a new intake of 10 apprentices, made more than 40 promotions across all levels, and launched several major service innovations including its new Virtual Finance Office and Workplace + Protect offering.

The past 12 months also saw PM+M secure B Corp certification which reflects its deep-rooted commitment to responsible business practices and positive social impact.

Alongside this, the firm was ranked fourth in the Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers 2025 - further recognising its long-standing dedication to developing future talent.

In addition, the firm secured being an ‘Employer of Choice’, for the third year running, in recognition of the deep levels of team engagement.

PM+M’s Positive Impact programme continued to make a difference across Lancashire, Greater Manchester and the wider North West, with the team supporting scores of charities, community groups, and local initiatives through volunteering, fundraising, and pro-bono support.

Helen Clayton, managing partner at PM+M, said: “Our 2025 achievements are a testament to the dedication and talent of our entire team, and to the trust our clients place in us every day.

"As we look ahead to 2026, we are focused on widening our client base and forging even deeper, more collaborative relationships where we act not only as advisers but as long-term strategic partners.

"Internally, my ambition is to continue nurturing an engaged, diverse and fulfilled team who grow, learn and enjoy the work they do.

Helen added: “And importantly, we will also remain committed to strengthening our role within the communities we serve by investing our time, capabilities and care where they can make the greatest difference.”
