Lancaster headquartered specialist in technology‑enabled care and social alarm solutions Chiptech has signed a strategic distribution agreement with a Norwegian health-tech company.
The partnership with Hepro Care brings together two leading care-technology specialists, combining their expertise to deliver resilient, scalable digital care solutions across the Nordic region.
The agreement brings together Chiptech’s extensive knowledge in Technology Enabled Care (TEC), safety monitoring and connected telecare with Hepro’s established portfolio of assistive devices and digital health platforms.
Chiptech will collaborate with Hepro across Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Iceland.
The Lancaster business has built a strong reputation as a trusted expert in digital telecare in the UK and Australasia and has been at the forefront of the sector and its growth.
Hepro, founded in 1987, is one of Norway’s leading providers of assistive devices and digital care technology, with more than three and a half decades of design and manufacturing experience supporting independence, safety and quality of life.
David Hammond, chief executive of UK and Europe at Chiptech, said: “Partnering with Hepro
represents a powerful alignment of values, innovation and long-term vision.
“The Nordic care technology market has consistently led the way in digital care, and this agreement allows us to bring proven, scalable solutions to customers looking to transform how support is delivered in homes and communities.
“By combining Chiptech’s deep sector experience in resilient telecare and monitoring with Hepro’s design, manufacturing and platform capabilities, we are creating a stronger ecosystem that supports independence while helping services operate more efficiently.”
Geir Tore Jakobsen, group chief executive of Hepro, added: “Entering into this agreement with Chiptech gives us a clear competitive advantage.
“We will be the only provider in our markets to offer these solutions as part of our portfolio. This benefits municipalities, housing providers and end users directly.
“Partnerships like this are essential for us going forward, and with Chiptech on board in all the countries where we are now focusing our efforts, including Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Iceland.
“We can offer a complete solution for people living at home with safety and social alarms that strengthen both safety and independence at home, as well as the resilience of care services.”
