Roger Hunter is the new chief executive of electric vehicle charge point management platform FUUSE.

He brings extensive senior leadership experience across the EV charging sector, including as global vice president, E-Mobility at Shell, where he headed up Shell Recharge Solutions.

Roger is also an independent non-executive director at Ignitis, the largest charge point operator in the Baltics.

With his wealth of industry knowledge, Fuuse say he is well placed to continue the Lancaster based software and service company’s rapid growth and solidify the company’s position as the lead CPMS provider in the UK.

Founder and current chief executive officer Michael Gibson will step down on September 1 following a decade leading the business.

Michael started the company in 2016 as a data analytics business before launching Fuuse in June 2021.

Since then, he has overseen the rapid growth of the business and several successful funding rounds including its £8.7m Series A in May 2024.

Roger will work alongside Michael during a handover period ahead of formally assuming the role.

Roger said: "Fuuse is the leading CPMS in the UK with a reputation for excellence and I look forward to building on those strong foundations to support the company’s next stage of growth.

“The EV charging market is entering a critical phase of maturation, and Fuuse is well-positioned to lead it.”

Gibson said: "Roger's experience is outstanding and I am confident Fuuse will be in the very best of hands.

“Over the past decade we have built one of the UK's fastest-growing tech companies, won a roster of clients that includes hundreds of household names, and become one of the UK's most influential companies in the EV charging sector.

“I leave immensely proud of what the team has achieved - and confident this will only get stronger."

Paul Brennan, chairman of Fuuse, said: "This is a transition that Michael planned thoughtfully and on his own terms - a testament to the leader he is.

“He has built an exceptional business, and the board is deeply grateful for his commitment and vision.

“We are equally delighted to welcome Roger, who brings deep experience across the global EV industry, a clear-eyed view of where the market is heading, and the leadership credentials to take Fuuse further still."
