Clitheroe based heating and insulation retrofitting company Eco Providers was named Partner of the Year at the Octopus Trusted Partners Awards 2026, recognising its contribution to the UK’s transition to clean energy.
Hosted by Octopus Energy, one of the UK’s leading energy suppliers, this year’s awards took place on Thursday, 26 March 2026 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London, bringing together leading figures from across the clean energy sector.
The awards celebrated installers delivering low carbon technologies including solar panels and heat pumps, recognising excellence in decarbonisation, innovation and customer service, with the evening also featuring a guest appearance from former England rugby international and Celebrity Traitors finalist Joe Marler.
The event was attended by industry leaders including Octopus Energy founder and chief executive Greg Jackson, founder of HomeServe Richard Harpin, founder and chief executive of August Recognition Donna O’Toole and director of Octopus Trusted partners Franco Miceli.
Eco Providers delivers commercial and private solar installations alongside social housing retrofit projects, supporting homes and businesses across Lancashire and the wider region to improve energy efficiency and reduce costs.
Andrew King, commercial director at Eco Providers, said: “We’re delighted to receive this award from Octopus Energy.
"It reflects the commitment of our team and the work being delivered across commercial, private and social housing projects.
“What we’re seeing in Lancashire reflects a much bigger national trend.
"Rising energy costs are forcing businesses and private homeowners alike to rethink how they manage energy.
"We’ve seen a sharp increase in enquiries from those looking to take back control - not just to reduce bills today, but to protect themselves from future increases.”
The awards come at a significant time for the sector, with continued government backing for decarbonisation, including the Warm Homes Plan and Boiler Upgrade Scheme, helping to accelerate the adoption of low carbon technologies across the UK.
