Low Carbon Energy in rebrand to Activ8 Energies

Low Carbon Energy in Burnley has rebranded to Activ8 Energies following its takeover by the Irish firm last year.

The renaming brings the UK operation of Activ8 Energies in line with its Irish brand. Activ8 Energies is an SSE company, operating under the SSE Energy Solutions brand.

Low Carbon Energy has delivered projects for organisations including Boeing, BMW, Porsche, Co-op, Drax Power, Tata Steel, Wickes, United Utilities and the NHS. Most recently, the business completed the landmark 3MW solar installation at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, capable of generating up to 25 per cent of the airport's annual electricity demand through on-site renewable generation.

The firm says existing customers will see no other changes other than the name. The team and operational systems will remain unchanged.
