Lancashire’s Built Environment Conference will take place at Blackpool Football Club’s Bloomfield Road stadium on September 25.
The annual half-day event, organised by Lancashire Business View, will return for its third year and will bring together experts and business leaders in the property and construction sectors.
‘Get Building, Lancashire’ will be one of the main themes of the conference, which will examine the government’s bold planning reforms – looking to slash red tape, overhauling local plans, and unlocking land for housing.
Richard Slater, chairman of Lancashire Business View, said: “The government has outlined targets for housebuilding and construction.
“Here in Lancashire, devolution proposals are in motion and governance models are up for public debate.
“It means that this conference is timely, urgent, and essential.
“We are going to be asking key decision makers and local businesses the question: what will it take to unlock Lancashire’s growth potential to build faster, smarter and better.”
John Chesworth, senior partner of Harrison Drury Solicitors, is one of the confirmed speakers.
He said: “The Built Environment Conference is always a great chance to catch up with Lancashire’s property and construction community.
“It’s where real conversations happen, about the big opportunities and challenges we’re all facing.
“There’s real energy and ambition in Lancashire right now, and it’s great to see that being celebrated.
“We’re proud to be supporting the event again and can’t wait to hear about the projects taking shape across the region.”
The conference will run between 8am and 1pm in association with Blackpool Makes It Work and Harrison Drury Solicitors.
It will be featured in full in Lancashire Business View’s Property Report in our November/December edition and shared with our 50,000 readers in print and online.
