Wilson Mason Architects has gained two new architects after Emma Spencer and John Lewis both completed their training with the practice to become qualified.
It marks the culmination of seven years of study and on the job training for the pair who have now had confirmation they are registered with the Architects Registration Board.
Emma joined Wilson Mason as a Part 1 architectural assistant in 2021 while undertaking her BArch at Liverpool John Moores University.
After graduating she rejoined as a Part 2 architectural assistant and then continuing to her RIBA Part 3 studies which she completed in 2025.
Emma has been involved in a number of projects at the practice, including a new student building at Liverpool Hope University and the Leyland town centre masterplan.
Emma said: “Qualifying as an architect is a proud moment that has given me a real sense of achievement.
"Working on live projects alongside my studies has allowed me to gain valuable experience across design, delivery and collaboration, and I’m looking forward to taking on more responsibility within the team.”
John joined Wilson Mason in 2022 after completing his Part 2 studies at London Metropolitan University.
He then continued to work towards his Part 3 qualification which he completed in 2026.
During his time at Wilson Mason, John has worked on various projects including advanced manufacturing facilities, conservation works at Bolton Town Hall, and a significant school extension project.
John said: “It’s a combination of pride and relief but ultimately, it’s satisfying to finally be able to call myself a qualified architect.
"I’ve particularly enjoyed the variety of work at Wilson Mason and the chance to contribute to technically demanding and heritage-related projects.”

Wilson Mason, which has offices in Preston and London, celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2026 and works across education, healthcare, industrial and advanced manufacturing, science and research, retail and hospitality, and workplace and office sectors.
