A Leyland based bathroom retailer has announced a record operational performance in its first half year results to March 31, 2026.
Victorian Plumbing has seen gross profit rise by 9.3 per cent to £87.7m, operating profits were up 44 per cent to £9.8m and EBITDA also increased 11.8 per cent to £17m. Revenues grew by 10.5 per cent to £168.8m up from £152.7m.
There was also progress in tiles and flooring revenue, which increased 84 per cent to £14m.
It is despite the widely reported subdued consumer sentiment driven by the Middle East conflict and its impact on discretionary spending.
Stephnie Judge, chief executive, said: "I am pleased to report a strong first half performance, with the group achieving double digit revenue growth and continuing to deliver on its strategic growth ambitions.
“We have further strengthened our market share, reinforced our position as the UK’s number one bathroom retailer, improved our marketing efficiency and grown brand awareness.
"Our state-of-the-art distribution centre is enabling more efficient fulfilment and supports our growth ambitions across expansion categories, including trade, tiles and flooring.
"As a highly cash generative business with a strong balance sheet, we remain focussed on investing for long-term profitable growth and on increasing returns to shareholders.
“Despite the persistent macroeconomic uncertainty, we remain on track to deliver record full year revenue and profit expectations, and we are confident that our strategy will continue to deliver long-term value for all stakeholders."
In February, Lancashire Business View reported Stephnie Judge was taking over the reins of the retailer in April after founder Mark Radcliffe announced he was stepping down.
