UCLan managers receive leadership recognition

Thirty three team leaders and managers from the University of Central Lancashire have been awarded with the internationally recognised Institute of Leadership and Management level three certificates in leadership and management.

The modules covered across the year included; managing change, time and resource management, leadership skills, customer service and innovation and communication skills. Carolyn and her team also worked with the managers individually to provide impartial feedback and coaching.

Vice chancellor, professor Gerry Kelleher said: “It’s important that we recognise the commitment they have all made, especially as many of the participants are already highly qualified so it’s impressive that they are keen to continue to invest in themselves.” Real Results Training’s Carolyn Blunt said: “These managers enthusiastically embraced the challenging learning interventions and it is fantastic to see them reap the rewards of their work. The experiences and skills they developed over the year of training will benefit both them and UCLan in many different ways, including improved confidence, teamwork and leadership, all key skills especially in the current challenging and changing landscape of higher education."
