Story Homes submits planning application for 155 homes

Housebuilder Story Homes has submitted a planning application to Salford City Council for 155 family homes on land at Hazelhurst Farm in Worsley.

The proposed development will offer a mix of one- to six-bedroom properties designed to meet the needs of modern families at all stages of life.

The scheme forms part of the wider development on land at Hazelhurst Farm, in partnership with Taylor Wimpey, which will deliver a total of 330 homes, land for a new primary school, and key highways improvements.

Story Homes’ portion of the scheme will provide 50 per cent affordable housing – of which 20 per cent will be delivered on-site and the remainder through off-site financial contributions - alongside approximately 2.25 hectares of open space, landscaping, and biodiversity enhancements.

Through a Section 106 agreement*, Story Homes will contribute over £7.2m towards local infrastructure and community facilities, supporting education, sports, allotments, and other amenities.
