Local businesses are invited to a free-to-attend event on the Armed Forces Covenant and the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme, at Morecambe Football Club on Tuesday 24th February 2026.
This full-day event (9am–3pm) includes refreshments and a hot buffet lunch and is delivered in partnership with Defence Relationship Management (DRM), the Lancaster & Morecambe Chamber of Commerce, Lancaster City Council and Morecambe FC Community Foundation.
The Covenant is a national promise to ensure fair treatment for those who serve or have served in the armed forces, and their families. By signing, businesses can publicly demonstrate their commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community while accessing the benefits of engaging with and recruiting ex-service personnel, reservists and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAV’s).
Throughout the day, attendees will hear insights from Covenant signatories, local employers, community leaders, and military representatives, exploring how businesses can better support serving personnel, veterans, and reservists. A Q&A panel with guest speakers from across the programme will provide practical guidance and the chance to ask questions. This event is the ideal starting point for organisations looking to understand the value of signing the Covenant and contributing to a more inclusive, supportive community for our wider Armed Forces Community.
