There’s less than a week for business owners to sign up to Lancashire Business View’s Funding Summit in Blackpool.
The event is being staged at the Village Hotel in Blackpool on June 17 from 8.30am to 11am and will be a chance for businesses to discover investment opportunities and funding options available to them.
Derry Green from Skelmersdale’s Secret Garden Glamping and Rachel Williams from specialist award winning Nelson skincare brand Albus and Flora hit our television screens as stars on Dragons’ Den.
The pair will be talking about their business journeys, getting funding and also appearing on the hit TV show.
James Cole from Panache Cruises is the latest name to join the line-up of speakers for the event.
In July last year, Lancashire Business View reported that the luxury cruise retailer was set for further growth after securing a loan from Lancashire County Council’s business support programme Rosebud.
The deal marked a continued partnership, with total funding reaching £755,000 since 2021.
Martin Emmott will also be sharing information about funding opportunities through Rosebud which has celebrated its 40th anniversary.
Jack Mellor is chief executive of Personnel Checks and founder of PC Group, a Blackburn-headquartered background screening business serving more than 30,000 organisations. He took over the family business through a management buyout in 2017, and has since led it through growth.
John Gray is head of debt at River Capital and leads a team of investment managers overseeing a debt portfolio of more than £40m across multiple funds, helping SMEs across the North West achieve their growth ambitions.
FW Capital’s investment executive Joe O’Connor works closely with business owners to source and assess new opportunities and structure funding solutions to support SME growth through the British Business Bank’s Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II.
Steve Bell is a director within the corporate finance team at Blackburn based advisory service Pierce, helping owner-managed businesses on acquisitions, disposals and fundraising to support growth and help entrepreneurs maximise value from their investment.
Ben Smith is in the world of direct lending, having recently been appointed as managing director at family-owned funder Kingsley Asset Finance. The Chorley based firm offers funding solutions for SME's looking to grow and invest.
Joanne Hindley, sales director of Lancashire Business View, said: “There’s less than one week to go. Whether you're actively seeking funding or exploring your options for future growth, this is the room to be in.
“The market is tough, options are changing fast, and businesses need clarity - that’s exactly what the Funding Summit delivers.
“The Summit offers straight-talking insight from funders, advisers and business owners who are actively doing deals right now. You’ll hear what’s working, what’s not, and what you need to do to put your business in the best position to secure funding.”
The Summit is in association with Kingsley Asset Finance, Pierce and Rosebud with support from FW Capital and River Capital.
