Pauline Wild was the main attraction at the launch of the latest edition of Lancashire Business View magazine.
The managing partner of Forbes Solicitors is the cover star in issue 122 of the county’s premier business publication, and delegates at Lancaster and Morecambe College heard about her journey into becoming one of the most influential women in Lancashire.
She said: “I've absolutely loved it, to go from paralegal, lawyer to a businesswoman and understand the whole parameters of the business.
“I've had to really get under the bonnet of departments and understand the mechanics of business.
“I've got a leadership coach, joined several MD and CEO networks and it's been brilliant. I couldn't have done it without the support of all the partners; they've just been phenomenal.”
She also looked forward saying the law firm has ‘loads of passion for the future’.
She said: “We're independent and we want to remain independent. We want to remain in complete control of our own decision making and want to protect our heritage.”
Richard Slater, chairman of Lancashire Business View, talked about the magazine trying to connect the county.
He said: “Our business model is about bringing people together so they can connect and do better business together.
“We try to provide inspiration, advice and opportunities in our written work and online and our events.”
The current edition shines the spotlight Lancaster and Morecambe with the latest developments with the Eden Project and the £10m investment in the Heysham Port.
