Lancashire Business View pledges support to Lancashire Hospitality Awards

Lancashire Business View has pledged its support to a new awards programme that has been launched to recognise the stars of Lancashire’s hotel and hospitality industry.

The inaugural Lancashire Hospitality Awards will champion and reward the top performers in the county and are delighted to have Lancashire Business View as a media partner to garner as much interest and support in the event as possible.

The hope is to find the very best among the county’s hospitality community in the only awards that put this specific sector on the map with the 12 categories up for grabs.

The top 10 finalists for each category will undergo an interview in front of a select panel of judges, which is made up of businessmen and women from throughout the hospitality and associated industries including Vanessa Jackman, from Valor Hospitality Europe.

Upon completion of the judges’ interviews, finalists will be whittled down to a final five, from which the winners will be selected. Some of the awards will also face a further “mystery visit” before a winner is chosen, a key USP of the Lancashire Hospitality Awards which will really ensure that only those offering the very best customer journey as experienced by the independent mystery shopper will be rewarded on the night.

There are twelve awards to be won, it’s free to enter and the deadline to submit your entry is 12th November 2018.

The awards have been founded by The KC Awards Group Limited which is made up of KRPR managing director, Kara Rose and CDC events director, Carl Darcy.

“Our awards are the first of their kind in Lancashire,” said Mr Darcy.

“Lancashire has hundreds of tremendous businesses throughout the hospitality industry and the aim of the Lancashire Hospitality Awards is to recognise all the good work they are doing.

I’d encourage everybody to look at entering, the wide range of categories means there is something for everyone and we look forward to receiving the entries.”

Fellow co-founder, Kara Rose added: “Lancashire is leading the way in its hospitality offer but there have never been any awards to recognise this effort. The new awards, judged by key leaders in the industry, will look at businesses and individuals in the hospitality sector who go above and beyond to create a first class service for their customers, really raising awareness of this work both on a regional and national level.

Following the judging process, the awards night will take place on Friday, February 1st 2019 at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.

Commenting on their commitment as media partner to the LHA’s, Stephen Bolton added: “We’re pleased to partner with the Lancashire Hospitality Awards as a media partner. Our aim as an organisation is to connect the business community and promote trade in the county – the awards will see the hospitality sector come together to do just this.

We encourage those in the industry to enter and use the awards as a chance to celebrate all they do. We look forward to meeting finalists on judging day and celebrating with the industry on the night!”

Awards to be won are Large Hotel of the Year, Small Hotel of the Year, Boutique Hotel of the Year, Spa Hotel of the Year, Golf Resort of the Year, Hotel Restaurant/Bar of the Year, Sustainable Venue of the Year, Hotel Conference/ Event of t he Year, Non-Residential Venue of the Year, Wedding Venue of the Year and Marketing/PR Campaign of the Year. In addition there will also be a special recognition award given on the night and that is the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’. This is the only award where nominations will be welcome and which can also be done on the website itself.
