At EcoGiants, we believe the future of the built environment is not just about new developments. It is about improving the homes, buildings and communities that already exist. Retrofit is not a buzzword for us. It is the foundation of our work and one of the main reasons we attend events like Futurebuild, held annually at London’s ExCeL.

Futurebuild is a national platform for innovation in sustainability, housing, construction and energy. It brings together decision makers and changemakers from across the UK; from local authorities and housing associations to private developers and technology firms, all focused on delivering real progress. For EcoGiants, it is more than an event. It is a place to share ideas, build connections and strengthen our approach to retrofit delivery in the North West.

This year, EcoGiants was proudly represented by myself and Sonny Collins, one of our lead retrofit delivery specialists. With extensive experience delivering PAS 2035 compliant installations, Sonny provided the practical, on the ground insight that is often missing from the big conversations. From funding challenges and customer engagement to installer training and quality assurance, we shared what it really takes to get retrofit done well.

Focused on Delivery, Not Just Discussion
One key message from Futurebuild was this; The time for pilot schemes and small scale studies is over. The sector needs delivery partners who are already doing the work and have the knowledge and capacity to scale. EcoGiants is one of them.

Whether it is solar installations, loft insulation, cavity wall upgrades or full property assessments, we are delivering retrofit projects every week that cut energy costs and carbon emissions. Our work is compliant, cost effective and customer focused, backed by industry certifications and a team of trained professionals who care about doing the job right.

Strong Local Partnerships
The National Retrofit Hub made a real impact at this year’s event, highlighting the need to build retrofit capacity and a skilled workforce while creating consistent standards across the industry. For EcoGiants, this validated the strong partnerships we are already building with councils, housing providers and private clients across Lancashire.

Our recent solar installation at Hurst Green Football Club, in partnership with Ribble Valley Borough Council, is just one example. This type of collaboration shows what is possible when public and private sectors work together to deliver practical energy solutions at a local level.

Clear Purpose, Real Impact
Futurebuild left us energised and more confident than ever in our direction. At EcoGiants, we are not waiting for perfect policies or the next funding announcement. We are making progress now. We are applying our experience, our network and our local knowledge to get retrofit right.

From helping homeowners future proof their properties to supporting housing associations and new developments, we continue to deliver results that are good for people, places and the planet.

Let’s Work Together
If you are a local authority, housing provider, business or homeowner looking to reduce energy bills, improve property efficiency or hit your net zero targets, get in touch with EcoGiants. We are ready to help you take the next step.
