EG on the Move completes acquisition of 260 new sites in France

Blackburn-based EG On The Move has announced it has completed the acquisition of 260 sites in France from the EG Group.

Announcing the deal completion, the firm said: "The completion of the transaction marks a significant milestone in EG On The Move’s strategic growth plans and further strengthens the company’s presence in a key European market.

"The acquired network provides a strong platform to accelerate investment, enhance operational performance and expand customer-focused retail and mobility for customers across France."

Lancashire Business View initially reported the deal in February.

Commenting on the completion, Zuber Issa, chief executive officer of EG On The Move, said:

EG On The Move says it will now focus on ensuring a smooth integration process while continuing to support day-to-day operations across the acquired French sites, maintaining its commitment to customers, colleagues and business partners throughout the transition period.

EG On The Move's national UK network currently has 285 locations, having recently announced the acquisition of 85 Prax petrol forecourts across the UK for an undisclosed sum, on top of 27 sites from independent petrol forecourt operator MPK Garages in May.
