Bellway donates toys and blankets to the Derian House Christmas appeal

Housebuilder Bellway has donated a selection of blankets and toys to Derian House.

 Sales advisor Josh Holmes, plus the first residents and visitors to Bellway’s Euxton Heights development, on Euxton Lane in Chorley, harnessed the spirit of the festive season to collect items much needed by the Derian House team to provide respite for families using the hospice over the Christmas period. 

 With Euxton Heights located almost opposite Derian House in Chorley, Bellway has witnessed the vital role that the hospice delivers for families and pledged its support to the charity for the duration of the development.

Providing high quality respite and end-of-life care to children and families across the North West, Derian House helps those whose lives are too short make happy memories in an environment full of fun, respect and love. 

Working tirelessly around the clock, the team delivers respite care, day care, holiday care and end-of-life care to more than 400 babies, children and young people and their families every year.

 This is no different at Christmas time, and with many families based in the hospice over the festive season, Derian House aims to make it a special time for all including parents, siblings and loved ones with toys, visits from Santa and the usual seasonal fun and festivities.

 Community fundraiser Ellie Smith visited the sales office at Euxton Heights to collect the donations.

She said: “Christmas is such a special time, even more so for our families, many of whom will be in the hospice for the duration of the festive period.

"At Derian House we go all out to celebrate at Christmas with events that bring our families together enabling them to make special memories to treasure forever. We are so grateful for this donation from Bellway.”
