One of Lancashire’s best-known hotels and conference centres has been placed on the market.
Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has been instructed to market the Delta Hotels by Marriott Preston and is inviting offers.
The hotel, which sits just off the M6 and M55 motorways in Broughton, north of the city, is an iconic Victorian manor house.
The full-service hotel has 149 bedrooms and extensive conference and meeting facilities, set within 11 acres of parkland.
The hotel also offers a restaurant, bar and lounge, and a leisure club with a gym, swimming pool, and spa facilities.
Having undergone significant investment in recent years, with a full refurbishment in 2023, the hotel has operated under a new franchise agreement since August last year.
The four-star hotel was the Czech Republic team’s base during the 1996 European football championships.
David Lee, regional hotels director at Christie & Co, said: “Opportunities to buy hotels of this stature are rare, therefore we expect significant interest.
“We encourage well-funded buyers to get in touch to understand the investment opportunity on offer.”
It is the latest in a number of Lancashire hotels that have gone on the market in recent months.
In November last year, international real estate advisor Savills was appointed by a private vendor to sell the freehold of Singleton Lodge Country House Hotel and Parklands, near Poulton-le-Fylde, for offers over £1.45m.
A month earlier The Rufford Arms Hotel near Ormskirk was placed on the market with an asking price of £1.3m.
The Delta Hotels by Marriott Newcastle Gateshead, which sits next to The Metrocentre, one of the UK’s largest shopping and leisure complexes, has also been put on the market by Christie & Co.
