A new podcast series has been launched to support businesses and HR teams across the UK.
People Matters, from employment law, HR and health and safety firm AfterAthena, will focus on areas including equal pay, grievances, employee second jobs and protecting a business.
The firm produced all episodes internally in collaboration with partners, the University of Lancashire and Liverpool Media Academy (LMA) and their students to record all episodes.
Colleagues from across the firm are involved in presenting a range of topics across the first season of episodes.
The first series begins with HR consultancy lead, Emma Christian and HR consultant, Jade McEvoy discussing an increasing issue around employees burning out or quietly quitting.
This episode is titled, Burnt Out or Checked Out, is now available to listen to on Spotify and can be found here – People Matters.
Chris Boyle, partner and head of AfterAthena, said: “This is an exciting time for the firm as we continue to evolve and develop new channels of communication.
“People Matters will provide an alternative avenue for us to deliver analysis and key insights from our people who are experts in their field, reaching not only our clients but reaching people and businesses that may be looking for support and guidance.
“Retaining and developing people is something all HR teams and companies want to do – it avoids recruitment and retraining costs, which inevitably impact a business, and increasing trust and loyalty.
“Our first podcast looks at this important topic and gives advice to recognise potential signs, avoid certain benefits and develop a team of employees who are unlikely to be exhausted in work and look for ways to leave.
"In the coming weeks and months, we’ll be covering a wide variety of topics, all pertinent to supporting businesses and people.”
