The Pendle Hill Properties Halloween Trick or Treat Trail has once again delighted families across Longridge, generating over 1,300 shop visits during the October half-term.

The much-loved annual event invited children under 12 to visit a minimum of 10 participating local outlets to collect stamps in the build-up to Halloween.

Young participants embraced the Halloween theme, donning spooky costumes and enjoying sweet treats from a range of local shops.

The trail showcased a diverse selection of businesses, including Stephen Taylor Opticians, Longridge Library, Desire Handbags, Co-Op, The Old Station Café, Tails of the Town Pet Shop, The Bloom Room, North West Air Ambulance Charity Shop, Pipkins at The Millhouse, Pendle Hill Properties, The Health Food Shop, Longridge Gallery, Heritage Interiors, and The Longridge Hub.

There was also some fantastic prizes up for grabs, with first place going to George Walne, aged seven, who received a £100 toy voucher generously donated by Longridge Town Council.

Nyssa Jane Becerra, aged nine, secured second place and won a £25 voucher for Old Station Café on Berry Lane, while third place was awarded to six-year-old Ivy Richardson, who received a Halloween-themed sweet hamper donated by Pendle Hill Properties.

Deputy Mayor of Longridge, Councillor Robert Walker, personally presented the prizes at the Longridge Town Council offices in a special ceremony.

The event proved to be more than just a fun activity for children, drawing families from neighbouring towns and villages and encouraging them to explore shops they had never visited before, giving a welcome boost to the local economy.

Thomas Turner, sales director at Pendle Hill Properties, said, “We’ve been hosting the Halloween Trail for many years, but this year has been incredible.

"To generate over 1,300 shop visits is a huge boost for Longridge and a testament to the community spirit. It’s wonderful to see so many families enjoying themselves while supporting our local businesses.”

Mandy, owner of Desire Handbags, said: “It was lovely to see all the children out collecting stamps. I think this has been the most popular one so far!”

Pendle Hill Properties also supported a special Spooky Storytime session at Longridge Library on Friday 31st October, providing some sweet treats for the children to enjoy.

Pendle Hill Properties is a family-run estate agency, specialising in residential property sales and rentals across Lancashire and the Ribble Valley, with offices in both Read and Longridge.
