National award achievements

Deborah Topping, director of DT Information Governance has been recognised in a couple of national awards in November.

The first was to be named one of Enterprise Nation’s Top 50 Advisers, being one of only 5 in the Legal Category. Given that Deborah runs DT Information Governance as a one-woman company for information law, to be named amongst legal firms is an achievement. 

And talking of achievement, she was nominated for the UK’s Information and Records Management Society (IRMS) Lifetime Achievement Award. 

Although she didn’t ‘win’ on this occasion, to be recognised by industry peers is a great honour. Deborah jokingly says that when you have been working with information law as long as she has, and you are as old as she is, the lifetime awards are where you are placed.

These rounded off a year of humbling but wonderful nominations and being named the SME News 2021 UK Enterprise Awards Best IG Consultancy and Training Organisation.
