Lancashire law firm Harrison Drury has appointed Chloe Wynter-Smith as learning and development manager as it continues to invest in career progression and development opportunities for its people.
Based at the firm’s Preston office and working across Harrison Drury’s nine office northern network, Chloe will lead and develop the firm’s learning and development strategy, supporting colleagues at all stages of their careers.
Her role will include identifying development needs across the business, curating training programmes, supporting leadership development and helping managers to develop their teams.
Chloe joins Harrison Drury with eight years’ experience across HR, learning and development, leadership development and coaching.
Most recently, she was people and development manager at Supalite Tiled Roof Systems, having previously spent seven years with Perch Group, latterly as learning and development manager. She also holds a CIPD Level 5 qualification.
Jen Salt, head of HR at Harrison Drury, said: “Our continued success and growth are based on being a place where talented people can build long and rewarding careers, and providing opportunities to learn and develop is core to that.
“Chloe’s appointment enables us to take an even more strategic approach to development across the firm, whether that’s supporting somebody at the beginning of their career, helping colleagues build specialist expertise or developing the leaders of the future.
“We already have a strong culture of progression and Chloe will help us build on that, making sure our people have the skills, confidence and support they need to succeed.”
Chloe said: “What attracted me to Harrison Drury was its reputation and the clear importance it places on its people. My aim is to make learning and development accessible, practical and relevant to people’s roles. That might mean formal training, coaching, leadership development or helping managers support the development of their own teams.
“I’m particularly looking forward to working with the firm’s apprentices and supporting them as they develop. It’s incredibly rewarding to see people grow in confidence and build their skills and careers.”
Harrison Drury employs more than 200 people across offices in Clitheroe, Garstang, Kendal, Lancaster, Lytham, Manchester, Preston, Southport and Stoke-on-Trent.
Earlier this month, it announced nine promotions across its legal and firm management teams, while 18 of its current solicitors have progressed through trainee or apprentice routes.
In 2026, Harrison Drury placed third in Legal 500’s list of the ten most highly recommended law firms in the North West and achieved its highest-ever Legal 500 recognition, with 13 teams ranked and 50 lawyers individually recommended.
