litheroe based renewable energy and retrofit installer, EcoGiants, has appointed Dean Owen as business development manager, adding more than two decades of insulation and energy efficiency experience to its senior team.
Owen brings 26 years in the construction industry, with a specialism in insulation specification.
Over that time he has moved across technical and business development roles, working alongside refurbishment contractors and both major and regional house builders.
He is SAP compliant and well versed in new build and refurbishment work under Building Regulations Part L, the standard that governs the conservation of fuel and power in buildings.
Owen joins from SWIP, where he was head of business development, having worked his way up from the ground floor of the industry to senior leadership.
Christian Gillibrand, managing director, said: "Dean has spent his whole career in this industry and he knows it inside out, from the technical detail on site through to the commercial side of winning and delivering work.
"That mix is rare, and it is exactly what we want as we grow. We are delighted to have him on board."
Dean Owen added: "EcoGiants has built its reputation on doing the work properly with its own crews, and that is what drew me in.
"There is a real opportunity in the North West over the next few years, and I am looking forward to helping the business make the most of it."
