Celebrating a decade of success with Farralls Group at the Logistics Leadership Awards

Logistics Awards

The Fagan & Whalley team was delighted to have been invited to this year’s Logistics Leadership Awards evening, where we were nominated for the ‘Logistics Partnership Award’ alongside our friends and business partners at Farralls Group – for our collaborative FF&W Ltd. partnership.

The Logistics Leadership Awards is an annual event held by the Logistics Leaders Network and was launched to recognise excellence and expertise within the logistics and supply chain management industry. This year marked the fifth anniversary of the black-tie event, and it was a fantastic chance for our team to get together with fellow industry leaders.

We were thrilled to have been nominated for the ‘Logistics Partnership’ award – which seeks to recognise organisations that demonstrate operational excellence as a result of a working partnership – and we were honoured to have our efforts at FF&W Ltd. recognised.

FF&W Ltd. was launched in 2010 as a direct response to a request from Knauf Insulation when they were on the hunt for a haulage company that could support their ever-expanding operations. Partnering with our friends at Farralls Group, we successfully won the contract to manage the UK distribution from the Knauf Insulation St. Helens plant, followed up by the Cwmbran operation a few years later – and we’ve done so now for over 12 years.

The competition was steep this year, and whilst we weren’t lucky enough to have won the award, our team members had a fantastic evening getting dressed up and celebrating with our industry peers.

F&W brand and marketing executive, Chris Corrigan said, “We had a brilliant night at the Logistics Leadership Awards, and it was a great chance to reflect on the success of our FF&W Ltd. operations. We’ve been running this operation for over a decade now, and it’s great to have this achievement recognised by others, even if we didn’t take home the trophy!

“FF&W Ltd. has a central planning office on-site at the St. Helens plant, alongside another office at Cwmbran, with shunting services provided to both plants using specialist Terberg shunt units. Each of these plants supplies a combined daily volume of up to 120 loads, making this one of Fagan & Whalley’s largest and most prestigious contracts and a partnership we are extremely proud of.”

“We’d like to say a huge thank you to our friends and partners over at Farralls Group, as well as to our clients Knauf Insulation, for their collaboration and trust. Additionally, a massive congratulations to the very deserved winners of this award and the fantastic Logistics Leaders Network for organising the evening!”
