Burnley-based IT solutions company the Holker Group, is delighted to announce its latest partnership with The Data Protection People.

Partnerships are core to Holker’s ethos of being able to provide the best IT solutions and services, from the experts themselves, straight to our clients.

Data Protection People was an obvious partner for Holker, as they will enhance the current portfolio with specific compliance and legislative services that many clients have been requesting. Holker listened to client feedback, researched the market, and can now provide a full suite of data protection services.

Holker will now be able to provide data protection and information security consultancy, along with compliance audits and remediation services to ensure compliance in various industries. Other services include data protection business as usual support, assistance with writing and reviewing policies, subject access request support, outsourced privacy and data protection officers, and ISO27001 / PCI DSS consultancy.

With Holker’s large education client-base, in practice, it means Holker can offer our schools and colleagues a data protection service, from their trusted IT provider. This service can deal with Subject Access Request’s (SARs) and government educational legislation, such as the new ‘Age-Appropriate Design Code of Practice’ (AADCP) that comes into play in September 2021.

The partnership came about because Holker’s sales director, Julian Tunstall, used to work with DPP’s sales director, David Hendry, 12 years ago. Both directors moved on to explore other challenges but remained in the same IT Network. Once David contacted Julian, and explained their business model, it was a perfectly complimentary service that slotted into Holker’s offerings, so a partnership was formed.

Julian explains why this partnership is beneficial for Holker: "Given the increasing importance of data security & compliance, we were looking for a partner to help us offer that to our customers. The work that we do, is closely aligned and complimentary to that of DPP’s services and it fits well with our security first ethos."

David also adds how it helps DPP: "We bring our experience and expertise of the data protection arena, to provide a premier data protection and security support service within the UK. Partnering with Holker helps us progress our company strategy and brings together two proactive companies, in a mutually beneficial relationship."

David goes on to say: "We are excited to be working with Holker and excited to offer complimentary services into sectors that are key to our organisational growth."

The feeling is obviously mutual, and summed up by Julian: "Holker and DPP is just a logical fit. It means we can offer a more rounded service with the backing of industry experts to help us protect our customers’ people, processes & technology."

Holker are already leading the way in cloud services and IT solutions, with the latest technology. By offering add-on services that help your business strategy, we go one step further to being a one stop shop for everything you need to make technology work for you.
