Ultra Star Cinema, set to become the first cinema to operate in Skelmersdale for 39 years, will open its doors to the public on May 17.
The two-screen theatre has promised an average ticket price of £5 with competitively priced food and drinks.
But as there are no newly released films available until July, the cinema will screen a series of classics such as Forrest Gump and Scarface, available for an entry fee of just £3. Initially, capacity will be limited to 75 per cent.
Asif Sahil, managing director of Ultra Star Cinema, said: "I’m so excited that just over a year since we started construction work to transform part of the Concourse Shopping Centre into a modern cinema that we are finally going to be able to welcome guests."
Andrew Barrett, retail director at LCP, which manages the shopping centre on behalf of the Skelmersdale Limited Partnership, said: "This will be an exciting new chapter for the Concourse Shopping Centre and we are confident the cinema will be a significant draw for families and people of all ages."
