Scancapture's MD is appointed as Lancashire's Employee Engagement Guru

Scancapture's founder and Managing Director Steve Smith has been chosen as an employee engagement 'guru' for the government initiative 'Engage For Success'.

Engage for Success is a movement set up by Prime Minister David Cameron in November 2012, committed to the idea that there is a better way to work, a better way to enable personal growth, organisational growth and ultimately growth for Britain by releasing more of the capability and potential of people at work.

Steve wants to grow awareness about the power and potential of employee engagement. He wants to encourage people to think and to learn more about it. And above all he wants individuals and organisations to take action, secure in the proof that it works and are passionate about its importance.

Scancapture will host the first Employee Engagement Seminar in Lancashire over the next few months which will be FREE for HR practitioners, providing opportunities to network with like-minded practitioners, share ideas, case studies and good practice around and across the region. This is a great chance to be among the first to get involved in building a regional engagement network for Lancashire.

Scancapture provide evidence, case studies and points of view about how employee engagement drives performance and productivity to achieve growth, to make the case for action. We support people in the workplace with practical tools and ideas they need to take action.

The movement is widely supported across the UK, involving the public, private and third sectors in the belief they can learn a lot from each other. Organisations supporting the movement account for more than 2,000,000 people.

A paper has been published this month that highlights the evidence for the effectiveness of employee engagement strategies in improving business performance. This evidence comes from academic research and from research using data compiled by research houses. It comes from case studies compiled by many leading companies and organisations. The cumulative effect of these different studies leaves little room for doubt about the statistical importance of engaging employees. But the evidence also comes from our own experiences of working in organisations which care about engaging and inspiring their employees – and the effect that has on performance.

As well as performance and productivity, employee engagement impacts positively on levels of absenteeism, on retention, on levels of innovation, on customer service, on positive outcomes in public services and on staff advocacy of their organisations.

Download the full paper from Scancapture's website at http://www.scancapture.co.uk/downloads/ or get in touch on 01254 888157 to register your interest in the free seminar.
