Ribble FM appoints board members and searches for new home
Ribble FM has appointed five new board members to help launch and run the Ribble Valley’s new local radio station.

Ben said: “Community radio has a vital part to play in bringing different voices together, sharing stories and being proud of the area in which we spend time in - whether that be at work, at home or at leisure."
He joins local businesswoman Kath Lord-Green who has been appointed station manager, and former Smooth Radio network producer, Tony Nixon, who is programme manager. In addition, Gillian Derbyshire, owner of DSM Accountants in Whalley and John Houldsworth of Holdsworth Solicitors have joined the board as non-executive directors.
The station is now actively searching for a studio base and applying for community grants, and is seeking interested parties who may have space available for the not-for-profit project. Ofcom awarded the station a five-year licence last summer.
