Lancashire and South Cumbria Hospices Together (LSCHT) has been confirmed as charity sponsor of the Red Rose Awards 2026.
The awards, now in its 16th year, are the biggest celebration of business across the county and will be held at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens on March 12.
LSCHT is a collaboration of independent adult and children’s hospices across the Lancashire and South Cumbria region trying to deliver better hospice and palliative care in the area.
At last year’s Red Rose Awards £5,300 was raised for the charity.
Helen McVey, chair of the LSCHT, said: “We are absolutely delighted that the Lancashire and South Cumbria Hospice Collaborative has been chosen as charity sponsor again.
“It’s a privilege to be part of such a prestigious event that celebrates the strength and generosity of our local business community.”
Helen added the support of businesses from the event is ‘absolutely critical’.
She said: “Hospices are facing significant financial pressures - costs due to inflation, increases in the national living wage, and higher national insurance contributions.
“NHS funding covers only around 20 per cent of our costs, so we are more reliant than ever on our communities and the generosity of businesses to sustain the care we provide.”
Richard Slater, chairman of Lancashire Business View, said: “The work of Lancashire and South Cumbria Hospices Together helps countless lives across the area.
“This partnership gives the business community a chance to make a real difference.”
