Blackburn's independent family-run jewellery store, Ainsworth Jewellers, marked a milestone moment with a spectacular weekend of celebrations to honour 60 years at its Darwen Street premises and an incredible 155 years in business.
The anniversary events brought together generations of loyal customers, industry peers, friends and members of the Blackburn community to celebrate the family jeweller’s enduring legacy of craftsmanship, customer care and community connection.
Guests enjoyed a weekend filled with special in-store experiences, food, drink, exclusive offers and the highly anticipated anniversary competition from RSVP replies or the many heartfelt entries from those across Lancashire sharing fond memories and treasured stories connected to Ainsworth Jewellers.
The competition’s star prize, a stunning bespoke three-stone round brilliant cut lab-grown diamond ring that was created specially to symbolise 155 years of Ainsworth Jewellers and 60 years on Darwen Street was won by Mark Holdsworth.
Additional prize winners were Abigail Barton, Marie Selenschuk and Mort and Anne Hamer, each winning a voucher for the store.
Phil Ainsworth, fifth-generation owner of Ainsworth Jewellers who was also marking 35 years with the family business, said: “We’ve been absolutely overwhelmed by the love and support shown throughout our anniversary celebrations.
"It’s been a joy to welcome both familiar faces and new visitors to the store to share in such a special moment for our family and the business.
"The wonderful competition entries reminded us just how deeply Ainsworth Jewellers is woven into the lives of our customers which is something we are truly honoured by.”
Phil’s wife, Helen Dimmick added: “This milestone is not only a celebration of our history but also of our community. Jewellery tells people’s stories and over 155 years we’ve had the privilege of helping generations mark their most meaningful moments. The anniversary weekend was a reflection of that shared legacy and our continued commitment to excellence, authenticity and service.”
The anniversary weekend was also the perfect platform to showcase the exclusive partnership with iconic London brand, PureJewels and its new Lotus Collection, only available at Ainsworth Jewellers.
Designed and handcrafted in PureJewels’ East London atelier, the collection embodies the brand’s signature blend of cultural symbolism and contemporary British design and has introduced Pure Jewels’ unique 22ct Sunrise Gold innovation to the Ainsworth Jewellers offering.
