Blackburn's independent family-run jewellery store, Ainsworth Jewellers, marked a milestone moment with a spectacular weekend of celebrations to honour 60 years at its Darwen Street premises and an incredible 155 years in business.

The anniversary events brought together generations of customers, industry peers, friends and members of the Blackburn community to celebrate the family jeweller’s enduring legacy of craftsmanship, customer care and community connection.

There was an anniversary competition and the star prize was a stunning bespoke three-stone round brilliant cut lab-grown diamond ring that was created specially to symbolise 155 years of Ainsworth Jewellers and 60 years on Darwen Street was won by Mark Holdsworth.

Phil Ainsworth, fifth-generation owner of Ainsworth Jewellers who was also marking 35 years with the family business, said: “We’ve been absolutely overwhelmed by the love and support shown throughout our anniversary celebrations.

"It’s been a joy to welcome both familiar faces and new visitors to the store to share in such a special moment for our family and the business.

"The wonderful competition entries reminded us just how deeply Ainsworth Jewellers is woven into the lives of our customers which is something we are truly honoured by.”

Phil’s wife, Helen Dimmick added: “This milestone is not only a celebration of our history but also of our community. Jewellery tells people’s stories and over 155 years we’ve had the privilege of helping generations mark their most meaningful moments.

"The anniversary weekend was a reflection of that shared legacy and our continued commitment to excellence, authenticity and service.”

Since its founding by Joseph Ainsworth in 1870, Ainsworth Jewellers has grown from a small family workshop into a leading name in bespoke and luxury jewellery, renowned for combining traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation and unrivalled customer service and expertise.

As proud members of the National Association of Jewellers and The Company of Master Jewellers, Ainsworth Jewellers continues to set the standard for quality, trust and customer care in Lancashire and beyond.
