RCU turns to Motionlab for digital marketing support

Preston digital marketing and design agency Motionlab has sustained its run of prominent client wins with the appointment as creative and digital marketing partner for RCU Limited.

Headquartered in Preston, RCU was established 21 years ago and has grown to become the country’s leading provider of research consultancy and marketing intelligence to the UK further education and skills sector.

Motionlab has been appointed to develop a fully integrated, multichannel communications and marketing campaign that will enable RCU to reach its varied audiences, while striving for growth in new markets.

RCU also wishes to showcase the entire breadth of services it provides beyond its unparalleled data analysis capabilities, including its rising expertise in bespoke research.

The agency has redeveloped RCU’s corporate website, as well as modernised its corporate identity through a comprehensive rebranding exercise.

Motionlab CEO, Simon Iredale said: “Prior to our involvement, RCU already enjoyed a very strong position with 80 percent of their target market already engaged with the company and its services. However, we firmly believe that there is further opportunity to not only cement this foothold, but to engage and convert this audience to drive more sales.”

Chris Lee, RCU Director of marketing & communications said: “From our initial contact with Motionlab we immediately sensed that they possessed the creative and digital nous required to position RCU as THE voice of authority on data analysis within the Further Education sector. Everything they have produced since then has reaffirmed that view.

“As a wholly employee owned company we are extremely passionate about serving clients. We’re pleased that Motionlab shares that standpoint as they have so far demonstrated.”

RCU works closely with the Association of Colleges and Government to deliver rich and varied data to assist its client-base, which encompasses colleges, local authorities, training providers, awarding organisations and governing bodies, with strategic planning, marketing and curriculum planning.

Starting life in 2004, Motionlab has grown to become a £1.8m business employing a team of 40 design and digital marketing experts at its 3,750 square feet office at Preston’s Citygate. Motionlab now delivers branding, design, website, applications, online marketing, PR and content services for over 60 retained clients.
