Moshi Monsters teams up with Graham & Brown

Graham & Brown, the international wall decoration group, has signed an exclusive licensing agreement with the creators of the global children’s franchise Moshi Monsters to launch a new range of wallpaper.

Designed for kids aged between six and 12 years old, Moshi Monsters is a free, online game where players adopt and nurture virtual pet monsters and navigate their way around Monstro City, completing puzzles, earning in-game currency, shopping and sending messages to their friends.

The site, one of the world’s fastest growing for children, has over 80 million registered users in 150 countries.

Since its launch in 2008, the franchise has expanded with the launch of new content and merchandise, including a TV programme, music, DS video games, books, a number-one selling magazine, trading cards and a highly successful toy range.

Graham & Brown, whose wall decoration products are sold in 75 countries worldwide, has worked with the brand to create a range of seven new products, including wallpaper, wall art, window stickers, wall stickers and interactive wall panel.

The range, which forms part of its expanding kids décor range, is being launched in the UK, USA, Australia and New Zealand.

Graham & Brown has collaborated with some of the world’s leading designers to create new ranges of wallpaper, paint and wall art, including Kelly Hoppen, Barbara Hulanicki, Marcel Wanders, Steve Leung, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and Wayne Hemingway.

The Blackburn–headquartered business said its partnership with Moshi Monsters highlighted its plans to further develop the children’s décor market in response to growing customer demand.

Mark Radford, design and marketing director of Graham & Brown, said: “Children’s décor is one of the fastest-growing areas of home decoration, as more parents encourage their children to embrace their creativity. This new collaboration with Moshi Monsters shows our commitment to developing on-trend products for our customers with some of the world’s most powerful brands. We’re confident this will be a huge success.”

Darran Garnham, chief business development officer at Mind Candy, said: “Graham & Brown’s global footprint and expertise in kids décor makes them the ideal partner for Moshi Monsters. We can’t wait to see the new range hit the shelves. It gives our fans another way to bring the world of Moshi Monsters to life.”

Graham & Brown’s products are retailed through major DIY multiples in the UK, North America and Europe, as well as over 200 Graham & Brown-branded distributor outlets in high-growth overseas markets. Moshi Monsters was created by Mind Candy, the online games developer and entertainment company founded by internet entrepreneur Michael Acton Smith.
