At Hampton by Hilton Blackburn, we believe great hospitality starts with great leadership.

That’s why we’re proud to introduce general manager, John Coulter, who brings over 15 years of experience leading branded and independent hotels across the UK.

John’s career has taken him through senior roles with some of the world’s most recognised hotel groups, including Hilton, IHG, Marriott, Best Western, Premier Inn and Crowne Plaza, alongside experience managing an independent country manor hotel.

He has overseen major refurbishments, delivered consistent revenue growth, and built high-performing teams who thrive on delivering service excellence.

Today, that expertise ensures Hampton by Hilton Blackburn continues to provide a dependable, welcoming base for both leisure guests and the local business community.

A modern hotel on the M65 corridor

Hampton by Hilton Blackburn is perfectly located just off the M65, with 152 contemporary bedrooms designed to give guests everything they need for a comfortable stay. Whether you’re visiting the Ribble Valley, travelling for business across Lancashire, or stopping over en route to Manchester, Liverpool or Leeds, we offer an ideal location with free on-site parking.

The popular meeting room can host up to 40 delegates and is equipped with ClickShare technology, high-speed Wi-Fi and floor-to-ceiling natural light, making it a smart choice for team meetings, training sessions, or hybrid video conferencing.

It’s also part of our Mindful Meetings concept, where sustainability meets productivity thanks to our solar panels, EV charging points and flexible catering options.

Supporting Lancashire’s business community

Hampton by Hilton Blackburn works closely with local businesses to provide reliable corporate accommodation. Many Lancashire firms use the hotel as their preferred hotel for client stays, team training, and group bookings.

With flexible group rates, modern amenities, and a location just minutes from Blackburn town centre, the hotel is committed to supporting the needs of the region’s growing business community.

Breakfast included, every time

Of course, no Hampton stay would be complete without a complimentary hot breakfast, always included as standard. Guests can enjoy a spread of fresh options, from fruit and pastries to hot favourites. And yes, that includes the signature Hampton waffles, a guest favourite and a true symbol of the brand’s warm, thoughtful hospitality.

Leading with Hamptonality

As general manager John Coulter is passionate about ensuring that every guest enjoys a seamless stay.

John said: “For me, it’s about getting the basics just right.

“A great night’s sleep, a team that genuinely cares, and those small touches, like a waffle at breakfast, that leave a lasting impression.”

With John at the helm, Hampton by Hilton Blackburn continues to set the standard for reliable, friendly stays in the region, whether for business, leisure, or group travel.
