Award-winning site manager Luke Redshaw is taking on an exciting new challenge by participating in the 2025 Strictly Queenscourt fundraising event to support patients with life-limiting illnesses.

Luke has led his team at Spinners Brook to earn prestigious recognition including the LABC Bricks Site Recognition Award and will be trading his site boots for dancing shoes to raise vital funds for Queenscourt Hospice.

Luke said: "I'm feeling a mix of nerves and excitement about Strictly Queenscourt.

"Trading my hard-hat for sequins is definitely taking me out of my comfort zone, but that's what makes it worthwhile. It's for such an important cause, and if I can help raise funds for Queenscourt that's what matters."

The Strictly Queenscourt event takes place on Friday, 15th November 2025, and members of the public are invited to support Luke and other participants through donations. A Just Giving page has been set up, and can be accessed via the link on Kingswood’s website.

Strictly Queenscourt is an evening of glitz and glamour where contestants are paired with a professional dancer and get to showcase their newly learned dance skills in a competition where both the audience and judges get to choose the winner.

Paul Jones, managing director of Kingswood Homes, participated in the 2024 Strictly Queenscourt charity dance competition. Not only did Paul demonstrate his commitment to community support by stepping onto the dance floor, but he also impressed his Kingswood team by winning the audience choice award. His performance and fundraising efforts were truly remarkable, raising over £10,000 for Queenscourt Hospice.

Queenscourt Hospice is a local charity that provides free, high quality care for the people of Southport, Formby and West Lancashire.

They care for patients with life limiting illnesses, enabling them to achieve the best possible quality of life at each new stage both in the Hospice and at home. They also give invaluable support to families.

All donations will directly support the hospice's vital work in the community.
