Barratt Redrow has renewed its bursary with Preston College to support students as they take their next steps into education and employment.
Following the successful support of 10 students in the past year, the renewed bursary will again provide financial assistance alongside hands‑on mentoring from Barratt Redrow site teams.
Students also benefit from site visits across the region, giving them real‑world exposure to working on live housing developments.
Barratt Redrow says it is reinforcing its long‑term commitment to education, social mobility and developing local talent across Lancashire.
David Hesson, regional managing director at Barratt Redrow, said: “Lancashire plays an important role in our business, and continuing this bursary is about backing local talent.
“By working with Preston College, we’re helping students to develop the skills and experience they need to build lasting careers close to home.”
Preston College welcomed the renewed backing, highlighting the positive and practical difference the bursary makes to students each year.
Mark Taylor, director of school for construction at Preston College, added: “The bursary supports students’ aspirations, by removing barriers and giving them confidence, skills and real-world experience to be work ready and progress into meaningful careers.”
