Blackburn's Ainsworth Jewellers has been named as a finalist in the ‘Independent Retailer of the Year’ category at the prestigious Professional Jeweller Awards 2026.
The nomination recognises a remarkable year for the fifth-generation family business, which has successfully combined more than 155 years of heritage with ambitious innovation and growth.
Owner Phil Ainsworth and his wife Helen Dimmick have transformed the business into a destination store that attracts customers from across Lancashire and the wider North West.
Helen said: "As an independent family jeweller, everything we do is built around relationships.
“We believe jewellery should tell stories, celebrate life's milestones and create lasting memories, so to be recognised by our industry for that approach is something we're immensely proud of.”
Phil added: "For five generations our family has believed that success is about much more than selling jewellery. It's about trust, craftsmanship, knowledge and making people feel special.
“This recognition reflects the incredible loyalty of our customers, the support of our community and the dedication of a team that genuinely treats every customer as part of the Ainsworth family.
“To be recognised on a national stage alongside some of the UK's finest independent jewellers is a proud moment for everyone connected with the business."
The Professional Jeweller Awards celebrate excellence across the UK jewellery industry, recognising businesses that demonstrate outstanding retail performance, innovation, customer service and leadership.
