This month, Lancashire-based law firm Forbes Solicitors put together their first ever Reinvention and Resilience Report, which recognised the efforts taken by local businesses (many of them based in Burnley) to diversify, innovate, and remain resilient during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Listed amongst the Forbes Top 50 were eleven homegrown businesses from Burnley, many of which are also Burnley Bondholders. Here at Fagan & Whalley, the team is celebrating being listed amongst some of the most successful businesses in the county, and would like to extend a huge congratulations to:

Velocity Composites  What More UK  Panaz  Ellis’s  CheckedSafe  PM+M Solutions for Business  LPK Facilities Management  Key Digital  Bellyflop TV  Jay-Care Stairlift and Mobility

Chief executive officer at Forbes Solicitors, Oliver Burton, commented: “It’s clear that every facet of the North West business community has been profoundly affected by COVID-19 and the subsequent national lockdown.

“However, what has clearly emerged from our ‘Top 50’ research is the raft of companies that have used this as an opportunity to rethink their approach and strategy - whether it be responding to overnight demand quickly and effectively, coming up with new ways of working to deliver services in an innovative way, or by lowering their risk levels to continue investing in their business through either acquisition or expansion.”

“Our strength is in our team,” explains F&W commercial director, Stephen Fagan. “Everyone has played their part and worked closely together during an unprecedented trading period. People were naturally drawn together, with a real desire to pull up their sleeves, adapt the way that they work to ensure customers are never disappointed, and take action.

“We’re excited to have made the Forbes Top 50 list. It’s great to be recognised alongside such well-known and successful local companies for all of the hard work and dedication our staff have shown this year.”
