Eric Wright Facilities Management (EWFM) has announced a significant enhancement to its leadership structure with the appointment of two new board directors to strengthen operations and growth.

These changes form a key part of the company’s 'Securing Our Future' agenda, designed to balance the complex requirements of PFI / LIFT end-of-term management while supporting sustainable long-term growth.

Eric Wright Facilities Management has a trusted reputation for a client-centric approach to delivering the full range of professional facilities management services.

Part of the Eric Wright Group a long-established property and construction business comprising eight specialist divisions (Construction, Civil Engineering, Water, Partnerships, Facilities Management, Maple Grove Developments and Investments, Applethwaite Homes, and Wrightcare). Working closely together across the divisions ensures a collaborative and seamless approach for public and private sector partners.

As part of the integration of its building consultancy division, Drew Hird has been appointed technical director.

This expansion of technical leadership significantly enhances its ability to deliver high-value consultancy services including design, project management, contract administration, asset management planning for contract expiry, change-of-use solutions, and specialist support for clients on their net-zero carbon journey.

Drew’s team will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s technical strategy as clients face increasingly complex lifecycle and sustainability challenges.

To further strengthen strategic decision-making and commercial discipline, Roger Lancaster has been appointed to the board as commercial director.

Roger will focus on driving commercial performance, ensuring a robust and risk-assessed approach to work winning, and supporting the company’s wider growth strategy as it manages the transition of long-term PFI and LIFT contracts.

Ryan Pearce, Eric Wright Facilities Management managing director, said: “These appointments mark the start of an exciting phase for our business.

“After many years of successfully managing long-term PFI and LIFT contracts, we are now entering a critical period of end-of-term planning balanced with product development and growth.

"Our skilled and talented team supported by our strengthened board, will drive our Securing our Future agenda ensuring the right controls, support, skills and technical abilities are in place to deliver a fully rounded excellent service to our established and new clients.”

Founded in 1923, as Brown and Jackson in Fleetwood, the company became Eric Wright Construction in 1979 after Mr. Wright purchased it and later became the Eric Wright Group.

Owned by the Eric Wright Charitable Trust, all profits are reinvested in the Group's growth or directed towards charitable activities, operating as a social enterprise that continuously gives back while striving for a more sustainable future.

These strategic changes reinforce Eric Wright Facilities Management’s commitment to delivering excellence in facilities management, improving client outcomes, and ensuring long-term stability and innovation across its service portfolio.
