Eat My Logo delivers for 100th birthday celebrations

Darwen-based Crown Paints chose Eat My Logo to provide thousands of branded cakes as part of major companywide 100th birthday celebrations for parent company, Hempel.

Crown Paints approached Eat My logo to provide tasty branded cakes and cupcakes for their employees at a series of 100th birthday events across the UK over a 10 day period in July.

The Eat My Logo team produced 135 full sized cakes and 1,100 cupcakes all decorated with the Hempel brand. The finished products were couriered to 130 UK locations.

Crown Paints said: “We thought that it would be a great idea to treat all of our Crown Paints employees in head office, Belfast, Dublin and Hull and also our staff in our 115 Crown Decorating Centres around the UK, to celebrate our parent company’s 100th birthday on 4th July.

"We needed a company that were prepared to come along and discuss our requirements which were quite detailed, a bonus was getting to taste the product prior to ordering too! Eat My Logo guided us along the process from choosing the actual cakes and how to display them, to actually getting them there on the right dates."

Eat My Logo is run by husband and wife team Andy and Ruth Poar from their premises in central Chorley which is also the home to the successful Cakes By Ruth business.

Eat My Logo was launched in August 2014 to provide edible branded promotional merchandise including cakes, cupcakes biscuits and flapjacks that are used by businesses to promote their brand at business events across the UK.

The business has expanded rapidly over the past 12 months prompting a move to bigger premises and the recruitment of two new team members expanding the team to six. Eat My Logo celebrates its first birthday on the 1st August and its first year has been highly successful with the Chorley bakery supplying thousands of cakes, cupcakes, biscuits and flapjacks to business customers both locally and across the UK and Ireland.
