A spectacular new music festival is coming to Colne this autumn, with legendary 90s chart-toppers East 17 announced as headline act for the inaugural Colne Cricket Club Music Festival on Saturday 19th September.

Taking place at Colne Cricket Club from 12pm until 8pm, the exciting new event promises a full day of live entertainment, family fun and festival atmosphere, all brought together by Burnley based promoters Scott Dawson Advertising.

Early bird tickets are now officially on sale and available until Sunday 31st May at 11:45pm, giving music fans the chance to secure discounted tickets for what is expected to be one of the region’s standout events of the year.

Leading an incredible line-up are iconic British pop stars East 17. With more than 22 million albums sold worldwide, 18 Top 20 singles and four Top 10 albums, the band remain one of the UK’s most successful and recognisable boybands. Fans can expect to hear huge hits including House of Love, It’s Alright, Thunder and the timeless Christmas Number 1 Stay Another Day.

Joining them across the day will be an outstanding selection of live tribute acts celebrating some of the biggest names in music, including Robbie Williams, Taylor Swift, Oasis and K-POP favourites.

The festival will also showcase fantastic local talent from across the region. Colne Cricket Club favourites Sonus will make a welcome return to the stage, while audiences can also enjoy dazzling performances from the Helen Green Academy of Dance and Burnley College Musical Theatre.

Alongside the music, visitors can enjoy a complete festival experience with a fairground, delicious street food vendors, fully stocked bars and a premium VIP area for those wanting to enjoy the event in style.

A variety of ticket options are available, including early bird adult tickets priced at just £20 per person, alongside family tickets, child tickets, accessible tickets and more. The early bird offer ends on Sunday 31st May at 11:45pm.

There are also just 100 exclusive VIP tickets available, offering guests access to a viewing platform from the top floor of the clubhouse, a private bar, welcome drinks, canapés on arrival and an exclusive meet and greet with East 17.

Scott Earing, treasurer at Colne Cricket Club, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be bringing such a fantastic new event to Colne Cricket Club. The line-up is absolutely brilliant and there will be so much going on throughout the day for people of all ages to enjoy.

“We wanted to create something really special for the community and visitors to the area, and we genuinely can’t wait to welcome everyone in September.

"We’d encourage people to take advantage of the early bird offer while they can because tickets are expected to sell very quickly.”

Murray Dawson, managing director of Scott Dawson Advertising, said: “We were approached by Colne Cricket Club after they had seen the fantastic events that we run in Accrington and Great Harwood.”

Terry Coldwell from East 17 added: “We’re really excited to be headlining this brand-new music festival at Colne Cricket Club.

"It sounds like it’s going to be an amazing day with a brilliant atmosphere and a great mix of live music and entertainment. We have worked a lot with Scott Dawson, so it promises to be a fantastic event. We can’t wait to see you all there.”
