Details of Pendle Business Awards announced
Dates and details have been announced for the Pendle Business Awards 2014.The application form will go live on Friday January 10 and until Friday February 21 businesses will be able to enter an award online at www.pendle.gov.uk/businessawards
The awards recognise the most promising and fastest growing companies in the borough as well as the people behind them.Businesses entering have ten categories to choose from, giving opportunity for entrants from one-man bands with a local, specialist trade, growing small to medium-sized businesses and large companies with worldwide reputations.
Pendle Council and Pendle Vision are again jointly organising the event. The ceremony will take place on May 16, attracting 350 guests from the business world.Councillor Joe Cooney, leader of Pendle Council, said: “We’re thrilled that it’s become such a big success. Each year our events have continued to grow and we’re delighted to showcase the best of Pendle’s businesses again.
“Our involvement demonstrates our ongoing commitment to our business community and our desire to recognise outstanding achievements. Seize this opportunity and help us fanfare your successes and celebrate what you’ve achieved. We want to shout about all the good things in Pendle.”Dennis Mendoros, chairman of Pendle Vision and managing director of Euravia added: “These awards gives us a fantastic platform to put Pendle in the spotlight and let the world know about what fantastic companies we have here. We have some incredible success stories in Pendle and we want to embrace them all.
The judges will shortlist entries in early March and visit the successful businesses in March/April so entrants can present their case for winning an award. Winners will receive a Pendle - an elegant glass and metal sculpture inspired by Pendle Hill, engraved with their name and the award category.
