Contract furniture manufacturer Barons Contract Furniture has announced a significant expansion of its Leyland operations, acquiring the neighbouring unit to create an enlarged, state-of-the-art facility.
Following a sustained period of success and increasing demand, the business has secured the unit adjacent to its existing Leyland site.
Having outgrown its long-standing Lytham St Annes office and factory, Barons is now moving to a larger, purpose-built environment that can support the next chapter of its evolution.
The development introduces a state-of-the-art distribution and manufacturing hub, refined contemporary offices, and an exceptional customer showroom.
The showroom provides an immersive setting where clients can experience the quality of Barons’ furniture firsthand.
With over 50 years of manufacturing expertise, British craftsmanship remains the foundation of their approach.
Every product is designed and manufactured with strength, comfort, and quality in mind, allowing their furniture to perform brilliantly in demanding environments.
Supported by full in-house control, the business continues to deliver the consistency, reliability, and attention to detail customers depend upon.
Overall, this expansion reinforces Barons’ commitment to building lasting partnerships and creating furniture that has shaped the company’s reputation for decades.
Garry Smith, managing director Garry Smith said: “This investment marks a defining moment for Barons Contract Furniture.
"Our growth is the result of decades of dedication to quality, trusted relationships, and an unwavering focus on our customers.
“Every element of this expansion, from the purpose-built distribution and manufacturing hub to our elevated showroom experience, has been designed to support excellence at every stage of the customer journey.
"As we continue to grow, our commitment to British craftsmanship, beautifully made furniture, and dependable service is stronger than ever.”
As Barons continues to strengthen its position within the sector, this landmark development represents growth and a long-term commitment to British manufacturing, thoughtful design, and the relationships that sit at the heart of the business.
The cost of the investment has been undisclosed.
