Dean Curtis and Joe Diston

Dean Curtis and Joe Diston have been promoted to partners at Beever and Struthers, chartered accountants and business advisors.

It brings its total partner group to 18, and marking another key step in the firm's strategy for national growth and client service excellence.

With a turnover now exceeding £20m, Beever and Struthers is firmly on the rise, currently moving up to 53rd place in the prestigious Accountancy Age Top 100 league table.

Dean Curtis leads the firm's corporate finance offering.

Since rejoining Beever and Struthers in 2021, Dean has been instrumental in advising entrepreneurs and owner-managed businesses across the region on buying, selling, and funding transactions.

With over 18 years’ experience, Dean brings insight and energy to deals that are often life-changing for the firm's clients. He is a Fellow of the ACCA and holds a Certificate in Corporate Finance from the CISI.

Dean said: "There’s no such thing as a typical day in corporate finance.

“Each transaction is unique, which is exactly what makes the role so rewarding. I’m thrilled to accept the role of partner and continue growing our presence in this space.”

Joe Diston joined the firm in October 2023 as audit director before stepping into the partner role.

Joe brings a wealth of audit experience from his 15 years in the Big 4, having led private equity, financial services, and multinational audit engagements across the UK, Europe, US and the Cayman Islands.

He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and also serves as a non-executive director for a multi-academy education trust.

Joe said: "I’m passionate about delivering robust, high-quality audits and building long-term relationships with our clients.

“Becoming a partner at Beever and Struthers is a proud moment, and I’m excited to help drive forward our continued national growth.”

Maria Hallows, executive partner at Beever and Struthers, said: "We’re delighted to welcome both Dean and Joe to the partnership.

Maria added: “Dean brings energy, commercial focus, and deep transactional insight that will continue to grow our corporate finance offering in the North West and nationally.

"Joe brings an exceptional technical audit background, coupled with a people-first approach that strengthens our core audit services across all sectors.

"Together, they enhance our ability to deliver outstanding advice and value to clients at every stage of their journey.”

These appointments reflect Beever and Struthers’ ongoing investment in people and capabilities, particularly in areas that matter most to its clients.

With offices in Manchester, London, Birmingham and a growing national reach, the firm continues to expand with purpose, appointing leaders who reflect its values of excellence, approachability and integrity.

As a member firm of HLB International, a global network of independent advisory and accounting firms, Beever and Struthers also offers clients international reach without compromising the personal touch that defines the firm.
